But it fit their characters.I really enjoyed this book, and I would highly recommend it. But if he does, the cat and mouse game w/ the mystery between them may be over. The only thing negative I would have to say about this novel is that I wish there were more narrations from Takeshima's thoughts.
After 7 consectutive weekends w/ this mysterious stranger who has yet to reveal his name, Tsukasa ends up bitterly finding out one Monday morning his new bosses identity. While the plot of sleeping w/ a stranger and finding out he's your boss is not completely originally. The author is able to make the story very unique and romantic.Alot of mistunderstandings occur due to Tsukasa's insecurity and lack of confidence, but he's basically a very good guy who has extremely bad luck w/ his partners and ends up falling for the worst types of guys.
Tsukasa, newly dumped by his boss's ambition to marry the company's heiress, is drowning his sorrows in a drink in a high class hotel bar when gets an invititation to a hotel room by a complete stranger. So it makes his relationship w/ Takeshima hard to bare since he wants to know and love everything about him.
Strictly speaking, Tsukasa is completely idealistic in romance. He can only have one partner at a time and he has to be in love w/ them.
He's basically too 1-dimensional in this book, while Tsukasa is fully developed and a great uke to feel a lot of sympthathy for.The smut was also good, and not as dirty as some novels I've read. Its definitley worth a re-read.
I was lured in by the cover art and promise of illustrations, but I just did not find this book sexy. I found myself laughing during the sex scenes at the florid purple prose (and Tsukasa's effluent "honey") and wanting to kick them both in the head for being stupid.Admittedly, I don't know whether the florid prose is in the original or whether it's an artifact of translation.
The conflict of the main character stems from his insecurity of having fleeting relationships. At first I was hesitant to get this BL novel because of the title, I should have listened. Compared to the other novel I have, the love scenes here are written in a somewhat dry manner.I found myself getting bored reading the sex scenes.Illustations are ok but i feel it could be better, too bland. Well It does have a nice story ,characters coming through nicely. Its Nice.A mystery lover that ends up the boss and becomes the perfect lover. When I use the words "ok" and "nice" in a review, it basically means I am not impressed. This book will end up in my resale box.
I thought the story line was good. The feelings ranges from sad to happy. The pictures were not that bad. In some parts of the book it shows how they both feel and the reason why. A tiny bit of drama between one guy and his ex. At least this story lines tells you on how they have met.
On the other hand, if sweet sensitive yaoi is, this one's for you. Tsukasa's mystery man will not reveal his name, saying it's more fun if they know nothing about one another. If bondage is your bag, then don't let the title fool you. Don't get me wrong, even though Tsukasa was very vulnerable and naïve I found him endearing rather that annoying. My favorites are when Tsukasa is tied up and when he is "sitting" on Takeshima's lap. I will say I do like my uke with a little more bite. He is picked up by a gorgeous mystery man and they share a night of passion.
The story takes a surprise turn when they learn one another's names, and the game changes dramatically. The characters are more slaves to their emotions than to any physical bonds. They begin meeting every Friday in the same hotel room. But coming off of The Crimson Spell and Vald's sexy demon uke I suppose any other would pale in comparison. Tsukasa, who is used to being used by men and thrown away, is moping in a hotel bar after Konishi (a total jerk) dumps him. There are a few illustrations. All in all a sweet little yaoi novel.
